BlackEdge Capital is currently seeking new team members in the following roles:

Junior Trader


  • Assist Senior Traders with model fitting and risk management in an active trading environment.
  • Reconcile position with clearing firm and exchange
  • Prepare risk summaries
  • Participate in Mock trading and other training sessions
  • Work on and manage special projects and trading tools 

Desired Qualifications

  • Four Year Degree from top university
  • Prefer engineering, Mathematics, or science based degrees
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in intense, team-based situations
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Prefer thorough understanding of computer programming & software development
  • Ability to work 50-60 hours a week with occasional weekends
  • Prefer no trading experience

Software Developer


  • Communicate effectively and interface with a diverse group of end-users across multiple disciplines.
  • Drive the development and delivery of various front-office applications spanning various asset classes
  • Enhance and maintain the large codebase of these systems
  • Work with traders to gather development requirements and ensure stable deployment of software

Desired Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math from a top program
  • 2-4 years of software development experience with C# 
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Understanding of design patterns and architectural best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment
  • Varied skill set and desire to work on disparate challenging problems
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Prefer working knowledge of multi threaded programming and socket programming
  • Prefer knowledge of financial markets (stocks, options, futures & commodities) in a volatility based domain

Quantitative Researcher


  • Responsible for data-driven analysis and improvement of existing trading strategies.
  • Communicate with traders and developers to facilitate strategy implementation
  • Strategy back-testing and optimization
  • Proposal of new strategies complementary to existing processes

Desired Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math from a top program
  • Firm grasp of volatility and options pricing
  •  Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment.
  • Varied skill set and desire to work on disparate challenging problems
  • Additional Preferred Skills:
  • 1-2 years of software development (ideally C# or C++)
  • Masters in Financial Engineering (or equivalent)
