Top notch traders are essential to our success. Our rigorous onboarding program comprises technical courses taught by senior traders, a mock-trading environment, and practical on-desk training. Great traders come from many backgrounds. We seek out the best people in their respective fields and help grow their skillset so they become valuable members of the BlackEdge team.

Our trading team helps develop new trading strategies, software, and techniques for options market making. Ideal candidates have a foundation in math, engineering, or computer science and love solving challenging problems. We pride ourselves not only on our trading and decision making, but also our ability to leverage and constantly improve our modeling and technology.

Trader’s responsibilities include pricing options and managing inventory risk, analyzing short- and medium-term trading results, and driving longer-term projects to evolve our trading strategy, tools, and system.


New to Financial Technology?

Just like our traders, members of our technology team often arrive to BlackEdge with no trading industry experience. Our engineers have come from Big Tech companies, small web startups, and PhD programs. While our core trading system is primarily written in C++ and C#, experience in those languages is far from a prerequisite for success. What matters most for success in our industry is how your approach to engineering technology systems, your passion to grow and learn, and your excitement about competing in the trading industry.
